The problem is when these messages are so easy to take for granted. It’s tempting to think that we are doing ourselves no great harm by following these advice, but if you don’t do it enough you can easily find yourself in trouble. For instance, drinking too much alcohol has been linked to increased risk of diabetes and heart disease. Meanwhile, eating a balanced diet has been linked to decreased risk of heart disease.

The bottom line is that one of the most important parts of your diet is your overall health. If you’re going to be losing weight, you will also have to be eating the right kind of foods. If you’re not, you’ll be more likely to gain weight.
